Travel Word Search Puzzles
Travel vocabulary covers both the bag and the map. Travel Essentials is Medium: passport, suitcase, toothbrush, and guidebook need a 15 × 15. Transportation is Easy, with train, ferry, subway, and walk on a smaller grid. Places to Explore stays Medium (harbor, plaza, lookout). Road Trip Words is Hard, hiding detour, overpass, and campground in all eight directions. Maps and Directions is Easy and includes the four compass points as words—north, south, east, west—which is a useful reminder that a word’s spelling is independent of the path it takes on the grid.
Print a packing-list puzzle before a trip, or use the map set as a quiet activity on a long ride if you have a printed sheet. These lists do not describe a real itinerary and do not collect location data. If you want city names, paste them into the custom maker and check that each grid form is 18 letters or fewer.
Road-trip copies work best at 15 × 15 with the word bank visible and the answer key left in the glove box. If a child is new to diagonals, start with Transportation on Easy and save Road Trip Words for later. Load in generator opens the same list in the main workshop if you want to rename the title before printing.

Travel puzzle questions
Why include north as a word?
It is map vocabulary. On Easy it will be placed east or south, which can feel odd until you remember the letters are the puzzle, not the compass.
Is guidebook one word?
Yes. The grid form is GUIDEBOOK.
Can I print this for a car trip?
Yes. Choose US Letter, include the word list, and skip the answer key on passenger copies.
